Show General Electric has on its Board four directors who head private companies. Curiously none is the founder of the company but each company bears his name. Each has vastly expanded the business and each has contributed greatly to the many outside boards on which they serve. Their success is too conspicuous to remain hidden but sufficiently private to escape public disclosure. The first of these does his best to have his actions excite as little public attention as possible. His accomplishments put attainment of this objective beyond his reach. He is reputed to be the largest private grower of cotton in the world.
