BOARDS OF DIRECTORS ARE MADE UP OF HUMAN BEINGS - A FACT RARELY RECOGNIZED BY CORPORATE CRITICS - AND BOARDS REFLECT THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO SERVE ON THEM. THERE HAVE BEEN GOOD BOARDS, MEDIOCRE BOARDS, AND BAD BOARDS, AND I SUSPECT THAT THERE ALWAYS WILL BE, REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ORGANIZATION, THE MANNER OF SELECTION, OR THE RULES AND REGULATIONS THAT ARE PASSED.
