Show February 8, 1971 Record Copy Friends, Utahans, Countrymen, lend me your ears. This is a dinner given in honor of Ermina and Orville Dykstra. In at least two ways it is a sad occasion. We in Utah are sad because after tomorrow Dyk will no longer be spending his days in the office. Ermina is sad because henceforth he will be constantly underfoot at home. But all of us would rather laugh than cry and eulogies are hereby declared out of order. We didn't come here to praise Dyk nor to bury him but like Cleopatra did to ancient Rome, to leave him a needle to remember us by.
