SOME OF THESE CHANGES ARE VERY REAL IMPROVEMENTS WHILE OTHERS ARE CHANGES MORE IN FORM THAN IN SUBSTANCE. WHOM DO THE DIRECTORS REPRESENT? IN MY VIEW THE DIRECTORS REPRESENT THE SHAREHOLDERS, THE OWNERS OF THE COMPANY. THIS IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY AND IT IS NOT INCONSISTENT WITH PUBLIC INTEREST. HOWEVER, THERE ARE THOSE WHO FEEL VERY STRONGLY THAT THIS DEFINES TOO NARROWLY THOSE THAT THE DIRECTORS SHOULD REPRESENT AND THAT THE SHAREHOLDERS ARE ONLY ONE OF THE CONSTITUENCIES TO WHICH THE BOARD SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE.
