UNFORTUNATELY OFTEN THOSE IN A POSITION TO INFORM FIND IT MORE SELF-SERVING TO FAN THE FLAMES OF NATIONALISM RATHER THAN TO HELP QUENCH THE FIRE. ITS BENEFITS TO ITS PRACTITIONERS ARE ONLY TRANSITORY. IN THE END NATIONALISM DIMINISHES THE WORLD'S SUPPLY AND QUALITY OF GOODS AND SERVICES. ALL END UP THE POORER. I HAVE REPORTED TO YOU WITH SOME EDITORIAL LICENSE THE FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVES THAT SRI INTERVIEWED. I WAS NOT AMONG THOSE SO HONORED - A FACT WHICH IS AWKWARD TO EXPLAIN SINCE I WAS CHAIRMAN OF THE SRI BOARD AT THE TIME THE INTERVIEWS WERE BEING CONDUCTED.
