LITTLEFIELD AND I ARE DELIGHTED TO BE HERE TONIGHT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU. COMPARED WITH THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH SRI 25 YEARS AND MORE, I AM A RELATIVE NEWCOMER TO THIS ORGANIZATION. MY FIRST CONTACT WITH SRI CAME WHEN I WAS A STANFORD TRUSTEE, HAVING SERVED IN THAT CAPACITY FROM 1956 TO 1969. IN THE LAST OF THESE YEARS I WAS VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE TRUSTEES' LIAISON COMMITTEE WITH SRI. OF ALL THE COMMITTEES ON WHICH I HAVE EVER SERVED THIS WAS THE MOST EFFICIENT.
