Show 29. Goonyella will ship around 4. 9 million tons this fiscal year compared to 3. 8 million tons in 1972. Peak Downs in its first full year of operation will ship 3. 2 million tons, up from a half million tons last year. UDC's share of these shipments is expected to reach 10. 3 million tons in 1973 contrasted with 6.7 million tons in fiscal 1972. Prices improved during the year and margins were well maintained despite frequent and unwarranted work stoppages. UDC's share of shipments from the three mines is expected to increase to over 12 million tons in 1974. Looking to the future, our new mine at Saraji is scheduled to begin shipments early in fiscal 1975 at an anticipated first year level of 3 million tons increasing to its rated capacity of 4. 5 million tons in 1976. |
