Show Good people will cure virtually any corporate problem save one, that one being the shortage of good people. Their very presence infuses the organization with profit opportunities at a faster clip than you can muster money and men to put them into effect. We are not above borrowing or stealing good ideas or sound practices from other organizations but we do not believe in doing something simply because everybody else is doing it. Imitation for imitation's sake is a sure way to end up no better than average and we aspire to a higher measure of performance. Finally, when superior results have been achieved, we believe in taking good care of the people that made them possible. Our top personnel receive a substantial amount of their annual compensation as a bonus paid in cash or restricted stock or both. The bonuses are awarded based on total company performance and the individual's contribution to it and in a single year the range among individual officers has been bonuses as a percent of salary from zero% to 90%. Externally you must also establish a high degree of credibility with your shareholders, your clients, with your lending institutions, and with the investing public and those who advise it. We recognize that a good reputation is a precious asset that must be earned, is hard to come by, fragile and easily destroyed, and that must be safeguarded at all costs. We don't make promises that we can't keep, we don't enter into undertakings on which we cannot deliver, and we rely on performance properly presented, and not talk, as a -14- |
