Show 6. In due time Dyk was graduated from Central College and from the law school at the University of Iowa, and Dyk loved Iowa, even Des Moines. His sole objective was to make so much money so rapidly that he would never have to leave Iowa. But in pursuit of this objective business necessities forced him to leave the State for a short time. His objective changed quickly and completely and he returned to the land where the tall corn grows, determined to make so much money so rapidly that he would never have to live in Iowa again. This goal was accomplished by the time he was 45 years of age and he and Ermina packed up their things and moved to California, determined to see the world. All that was left for Dyk to work, out |
