Show 2. Rather than repeating here the information contained in the annual report, I would like again to take the longer view and review Utah's progress for you over the past decade. Here the trends are more clearly discernible and less influenced by the aberrations that sometimes occur from year to year. The first chart indicates the progress that Utah has made in the all-important bottom line -Net Income. Here we see 10 consecutive years of increased earnings, rising from the $7.3 million earned in 1964 to the $52 million earned in 1973. You will note that the increase of $12.2 million in net income from 1972 to 1973 is the largest dollar increase in Utah's history and the increase alone is larger than the total company earnings were in either |
