Show Page 6 Much can be gained by government and industry working together more effectively - not as adversaries - but rather as allies determined to expose the causes of the basic energy problems, to develop the information and actions required to contribute to their solution in the public interest. Implicit in this is the opportunity for a full exchange of views before governmental action is taken. A national energy plan that meets the criteria herein outlined will provide the basic foundation for private enterprise to make its maximum contribution to our energy needs and in a manner consistent with the attainment of other desirable and achievable national goals. |
