Show LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BRAZIL IS A MARVELOUS PLACE TO HOLD AN INTERNATIONAL MEETING SUCH AS THIS, BRAZIL CAN SERVE AS A CASE STUDY FOR ALMOST ANY POINT THAT THE SPEAKER WANTS TO COVER, IT IS A DEVELOPING COUNTRY THAT HAS AREAS THAT ARE HIGHLY DEVELOPED, IT IS A STATE WITH A PLANNED ECONOMY THAT HAS SHOWN ITSELF A GOOD FRIEND OF PRIVATE ENTERPRISE. IT IS POPULOUS, VAST, WITH AN ECONOMY THAT IS DIVERSIFIED BETWEEN AGRICULTURE AND INDUSTRY, ONE CAN ARGUE THAT IT HAS MADE LESS PROGRESS THAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN REGISTERED IN THESE LAST HUNDRED YEARS, BUT CERTAINLY IN THE VERY RECENT PAST BRAZIL HAS MADE PRO-GRESS AT A RATE THAT THE WORLD MUST ENVY, BRAZIL MUST HAVE BEEN DOING SOMETHING RIGHT, AND CERTAINLY ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HAS CONTRIBUTED TO ITS PROGRESS IS THE PART PLAYED BY FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT, BRAZIL HAS CULTIVATED A FRIENDLY AND FERTILE CLIMATE |
