IN SAMARCO AS WELL AS IN QUEENSLAND WE HAVE BEEN A BECHTEL CLIENT. IN THE DOMESTIC ENERGY FIELD UTAH PRODUCES URANIUM, STEAM COAL, AND PETROLEUM. THROUGH TWO MINES AND MILLS IN WYOMING NOW OPERATED BY LUCKY MC URANIUM CORPORATION, A WHOLLY OWNED UTAH SUBSIDIARY BUT WITH VOTING CONTROL IN THE HANDS OF PUBLIC TRUSTEES, WE PRODUCE APPROXIMATELY 4.2 MILLION POUNDS OF URANIUM OXIDE ANNUALLY. IN STEAM COAL OUR NAVAJO MINE IN NEW MEXICO PRODUCES ABOUT 7 MILLION TONS YEARLY WHICH IT DELIVERS TO THE FOUR CORNERS POWER PLANT, FUELING FIVE GENERATING UNITS HAVING A COMBINED OUTPUT OF 2,085 MEGAWATTS. ABOUT 1/4 OF THE RESERVES HAVE BEEN DICTATED TO THIS USE AND A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THE REMAINING RESERVES MAY BE UTILIZED BY |
